Who, What, When, Where, and How

Who: Although the Ancients knew about Saturn, they were not aware of its rings. Galileo was the first person to see Saturns rings.

What: Saturn is a gaseous outer planet with rings.

When: The discovery date of the planet is not known but, Galileo first saw the rings in 1610.

Where: He was in Italy when he observed Saturn and its rings.

How: Galileo used a telescope to observe the planet. But, the telescope was not very strong so he assumed for a long time that the rings were just natural satelites.
