Something Cool
Saturn has an diameter of 74,898 miles, almost 10 times larger than Earth. With that said, Saturn is the second largest planet in our Solar System, right behind Jupiter. Saturn, is an oblate spheroid; this indicates that Saturn's equatorial diameter is larger than the diameter measured through the poles. Saturn's distance is different due to the planet’s high rotational speed. The polar diameter of Saturn is 108,728 km and is flattened by 9.796% at the poles.
